Building Officener for the Web
Officener was a four-week project to extend a building management service from mobile to web. Our team worked on the complaint submission experience, and it was my first time working on a PropTech product.
Working with Linear and GitHub introduced me to a more structured development workflow, while discussions around Next.js routing made me think more carefully about why technical decisions are made—not just how to implement them.
I also ran into an interaction issue while using shadcn/ui and eventually traced it back to the underlying Radix UI implementation. It was a useful reminder that understanding the tools behind a component is often more valuable than searching for a quick workaround.
More than any specific technology, the project taught me to ask better questions: Why this route? Why this component? Why this structure? Being able to explain those decisions became one of the most valuable things I took away from the project.
