Behind Virtual Seoul

Behind Virtual Seoul

Virtual Seoul was a 3D virtual MICE platform created for conferences, tourism programs, and international events. The platform included virtual venues inspired by locations such as COEX, Nodeul Island, Seoul City Hall, Changdeokgung, and DDP.

My work involved service planning and operational coordination across different events. Each event had its own schedule, content, language requirements, and stakeholder expectations, so the platform needed to work as more than a static virtual environment.

I coordinated multilingual content, schedules, event-specific requirements, and updates across internal teams and external stakeholders. Over time, I supported more than ten global conference and tourism events through the platform.

One of the most useful lessons was how differently people understand the same requirement. Event organizers think in terms of programs and attendees, designers think in screens and assets, and developers think in functionality and constraints.

Working across those perspectives helped shape the way I approach coordination today: understand what each stakeholder actually needs, then create enough shared context for everyone to move in the same direction.
