Building Veganro in Three Weeks

Building Veganro in Three Weeks

Veganro started from a simple problem: mainstream map services make it easy to search for restaurants, but much harder to understand whether a place actually fits a specific vegan preference.

Our goal was to build a location-based service where users could discover vegan-friendly places using clearer filters and curated information.

I worked as a frontend developer and UI designer, shaping the information architecture and user flow while also implementing the interface. The product used map functionality, search, and vegan-specific filters to make discovery more focused.

With only three weeks to build the MVP, deciding what not to build was as important as implementation. We focused on the core journey: discovering a place, understanding why it was relevant, and finding the information needed to visit it.

Veganro was a small project, but it gave me a practical understanding of how design and development decisions influence each other. Being responsible for both made it much easier to see when an interface idea was technically unnecessary or when a technical shortcut would weaken the experience.
